Diet

  1. Eat a diet high potassium and magnesium
  2. Eat as many raw vegetables as possible
  3. Don’t smoke
  4. Avoid caffeine, sugar and alcohol

Lifestyle

Aerobic exercise is important for helping to keep all tissues oxygenated

Supplements

  1. Magnesium Citrate Powder - 1 teaspoon before bed
  2. Potassium/Magnesium Aspartate (requires you to set up an account or log in) - 2 capsules twice daily. This formula can be used during the day to help normalize these two essential minerals throughout the day. You may continue the magnesium powder at night, however, if loose stools develop simply decrease the dose of magnesium at night.
  3. B-Complex Plus (requires you to set up an account or log in) 1 capsule twice daily. In a study published in the Journal of Clinical Pharmacology, researchers found that a daily B-complex supplement resulted in 86% less nightly cramps in elderly individuals who suffered with regular severe cramping while trying to sleep. The placebo group had no significant change (J Clin Pharmacology, 1998:38, 1151-1154)
